Tripindi Shraddha

Ritual

Tripindi Shraddha

Settling rites left undone over the years — three pindas offered with the grace of the Trideva to bring unsettled ancestors toward peace, confirmed first by a Gaya Pandaji.

The debt we owe our ancestors

This rite is one way a family repays the Pitru Rin — the debt owed to those who gave us everything. Tell us your family's intention and we'll plan every step together, gently, on a call.

Rites left undone over the years

Tripindi Shraddha is traditionally performed when annual shraddha has been missed for a long time, or where the family senses pitru dosh from ancestors who have not received their due rites. Three pindas are offered with the grace of the Trideva — Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh — to bring the unsettled departed toward peace.

Three pindas, three deities

The rite's three offerings invoke Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, addressing souls believed to be held in the preta state across the generations.

When shraddha was missed

It is considered where yearly shraddha lapsed for several years, or where repeated pitru-related concern points to a fuller observance — always confirmed first by the Pandaji before anything is finalised.

Why at Gaya

Performing it at Gaya draws on the special power the scriptures attach to ancestral rites on this moksha-bhoomi. Vayu helps confirm the right process, prepare the details, and coordinate the visit.

Questions families ask

Frequently asked questions

When should Tripindi Shraddha be considered?

Tripindi is usually considered when there is a specific family instruction, missed-shraddha concern, pitru dosh concern or a Pandaji recommendation.

Is Tripindi Shraddha the same as regular Pind Daan?

No. Tripindi Shraddha and regular Pind Daan are not automatically the same vidhi. The family situation should be checked with a Pandaji before deciding.

Can Vayu coordinate Tripindi with Gaya Shraddha support?

Yes, if the Pandaji confirms it is suitable. Vayu can coordinate Pandaji guidance, samagri, timing, transport, stay and local support in Gaya.
